Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract role with a client in Louisville, KY. The position involves architecting, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL, while ensuring integration with backend systems and implementing data quality frameworks.

Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain scalable Python- and SQL-based data pipelines using Spark/Databricks to support the NBA Action Library platform
Model and manage versioned action and reference data within Delta Lake, ensuring schema evolution, backward compatibility, and strong governance
Integrate batch and near real-time data flows with backend systems and decision engines using Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies
Implement data quality, observability, and monitoring frameworks to ensure reliable, accurate, and well‑governed action data
Develop and orchestrate workflows using tools such as Airflow or Prefect across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Collaborate closely with backend, product, and analytics teams to scale action data operations and support regulated or compliance‑focused environments

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field

Extensive experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect, with strong grounding in data quality, observability, and governed data product practices
