Responsibilities

Instructor will teach variable course credits ($1,025/credit)

Instructor may teach several sections

Courses to be taught: IN PERSON, no remote options BIO 109L/110L: General Biology Lab I/II (1 credit each)

BIO 109L: Topics include fundamentals in macromolecules, DNA/RNA/Protein synthesis, cell anatomy, cellular respiration, and photosynthesis

BIO 110L: Topics include fundamentals in evolution/cladistics, plant and animal anatomy and physiology, population and community ecology

Qualification

Master's degree in BiologyTeaching experienceActive learning experienceInterpersonal skillsCommitment to diversityTime management skillsCommunication skills

Required

Master's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, or related fields

Previous experience teaching college-level science preferred

Experience with 'active learning' in both an online and face to face modality

Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, necessary to interact effectively with all university constituents

Strong time management/organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to work with students, faculty, staff, and all university administration

Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations

Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching
