Responsibilities
Manage and resolve high-volume customer disputes, short payments, credits, invoices, and contract discrepancies
Research disputes using SAP, customer portals, bank statements, and internal systems
Analyze historical payment data to identify trends, root causes, and recovery opportunities
Manage aged A/R accounts, assess credit risk, and recommend holds, releases, write-offs, or payment plans
Contact customers directly to secure payment and resolve open issues
Perform cash application research and account reconciliation
Maintain accurate customer account balances in compliance with US GAAP and SOX
Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reporting for senior leadership and key stakeholders
Partner closely with Sales, Logistics, Operations, and Management to address account risk and disputes
Support audits, collections activity, and third-party placements when required
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of A/R dispute resolution experience in a large, complex organization
5+ years working with enterprise A/R systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
5+ years of cash application research and analysis
Experience managing large customer portfolios ($200MM+)
Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX in a publicly traded company
Excellent communication skills with customers, senior leadership, and internal teams
Ability to resolve disputes, drive root-cause analysis, and follow issues through to closure
Comfortable working in a global team environment
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Oracle or similar ERP systems
