They are seeking a Social Media Management Intern/Assistant to support the management of SLOOSH’s organic social media accounts and contribute to content creation and community engagement across various platforms.

Responsibilities
Assist in daily content operations across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit, and YouTube Shorts
Develop original short-form content, including shooting, editing, storytelling, and caption writing
Identify emerging cultural trends, audio, aesthetics, and water-lifestyle topics relevant to our audience
Contribute to social media's participation through community-relevant posts, discussions, and insights
Support weekly and monthly content calendar planning
Publish content across platforms and monitor early performance indicators
Compile weekly social insights, analyzing reach, engagement, saves, shares, and watch-through rates
Offer recommendations for creative iteration based on performance data
Engage with comments, community threads, and DMs to support retention and brand affinity
Collaborate with the Brand Manager on strategy while independently executing assigned tasks
Qualification
Required
Eligible candidates must be enrolled in a four-year accredited undergraduate program or currently enrolled in a graduate or Ph.D. program
Demonstrated understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form content culture
Strong creative instincts with the ability to produce scroll-stopping, save-worthy, and shareable content
Excellent communication and time management skills
Comfortable being behind the camera; open to appearing on camera when needed
Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
Preferred
Based in or familiar with outdoor and water-lifestyle culture (beach, lake, paddle, pool environments)
Personal interest in water activities, summer culture, outdoor recreation, or water sports
Experience managing social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Pinterest, Reddit)
Understanding of Gen Z online communication tone, humor, and platform behaviors
Bilingual English–Chinese proficiency is a plus (not required)
Prior experience running or growing a personal social account, student org account, or brand account is a plus
