Other requirements may include evaluating the integrity of TEC equipment using visual and physical procedures to determine if they should be replaced or upgraded. This may include accessing and inspecting energized equipment once successfully trained in this procedure
Complete photometric designs in Visual, including acquisition of AutoCAD site plan and incorporation of various fixtures and poles as specified by the customer. Lighting designs are completed in accordance with Illumination Engineering Society of North America (“IES”) standards and under applicable governmental codes
Process work requests (“WR”) in WorkPro. Divide jobs into work phases and crews, establishing an associated WR for each of the different TEC construction phases and crews involved, including overhead and underground line crews, service crews, grounding contractors, project and crossing conduits. Ensure proper allocation of project’s financial costs in WorkPro. Enter and update targeted schedule dates, work status and other project details in WorkPro for all associated WRs. Utilize standard rules and specifications to perform analysis and design in determining the most economical and reliable solutions for customers and the TEC outdoor lighting and distribution systems. These designs should encompass the expansion, relocation, upgrade, removal and maintenance of existing distribution systems, as they pertain to lighting systems, and all other construction or maintenance needs while obtaining necessary permits and easements
Using TEC’s GIS, draw the proposed and existing electrical features. Establish all specifications in GIS, such as the correct electrical connectivity, proper supporting structures, and all compatible units (“CU’s”) for materials and labor at the correct type and amount for each feature
Produce construction cost estimates using Toolkit (including labor and materials) and determine and communicate the need for contribution-in-aid of construction (“CIAC”) charges to customers based on TEC revenue shortage or excess costs as required
In advance of initiating a Bright Choices Outdoor Lighting Agreement (“BCOLA”), ensure contractual parties have signature authority to enter into a multi-year agreement with TEC using Sunbiz, LiteBiz, Property Appraiser, and State of Florida Election of Officers web site. Before project is underway, collect appropriate signatures and required CIAC
Once the project is underway, represent customers in plan-of-the-week meetings, and manage communication to all involved entities concerning any updates in the construction schedule or other changes with potential impact and documenting updates.
