Responsibilities
Observe and follow safety rules as prescribed by the safety policies, including wearing required PPE
Complete an expected amount of work based on time studies in accordance with schedule
Operate all necessary equipment in a proficient manner
Operate and adjust manual, semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine equipment to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations
Operate one or more standard or special purpose production machines for various operations
Perform close tolerance work where dimensional and finish requirements are not difficult to maintain due to nature of tooling and machine setups
Check work at specified points
Adjust machine to maintain finish and tolerance requirements
Work from part drawings and use required precision measuring instruments to check and inspect work
Recognize and report machine malfunctions, tooling difficulties, etc
May assist with setups or proving of program
Under supervision, work procedures and products are subject to check and inspection
Meet with engineers to discuss potential machine problems
Observe and follow safety rules
Maintain clean work area

Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Requires 1 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Requires a general knowledge of tooling applications
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications and routings
Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform geometric algebraic and trigonometric calculations
Must perform metric conversions
Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees
Excellent communication and follow-up skills
Detail and task orientated
Continuous improvement/innovation
Must be able to read and write English
Preferred
Additional training from trade school preferred
