The Porter (Yard Driver) is responsible for safely transporting light/medium duty trucks around the yard and operating heavy-duty equipment, while ensuring cleanliness and organization of the lot.

Responsibilities
Safely transport light/medium duty trucks around the yard and into the building as well as to any needed outside service centers
Operate light/medium heavy-duty equipment around the yard
Ability to, or willingness to learn to operate and/or move heavy equipment including trailers in very tight spaces (Up to 3- Ton/Medium Duty)
Perform regular inspection and maintenance of assigned equipment and report any issues to management
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lot, including removing debris and keeping the area free of hazards
Coordinate with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are in the appropriate locations and ready for use
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Work in outside conditions including inclement weather year-round
Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by management
5S (Sort, Shine, Straighten, Standardize, Sustain): Implement and uphold 5S principles within the workspace to improve efficiency and organization
Qualification
Required
Maintain a good driving record and be properly licensed
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
Flexibility with changing schedules and priorities
Good verbal communication skills to interact well with other employees, customers & service providers
Preferred
CDL
Previous porter/transportation experience
