Systems Administrator II

They are seeking a Systems Administrator II who will be responsible for maintaining cybersecurity controls, performing system monitoring, and providing training support for military exercises.

Responsibilities
Maintain network and computer Information Assurance systems security
Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of system, network, and server resources
Participate in the collections of utilization, operation and maintenance data
Assist in compiling weekly and monthly report deliverables
Review and interpret Windows event files
Manage Virtual Machines on Linux and Windows Hosts
Ensure TADSS connectivity to central computer network
Providing TADSS instruction IOT assist STE operations IAW Government NET
Provide SA maintenance support during deployed/PON operations
Facilitate and assist OEM with installation and upgrade of software
Assist Soldiers in planning training exercises within the TMT software, ensuring proper coordination and alignment of training equipment and RVCT modules to prepare for execution
Initialize and manage the local RVCT training network, conduct troubleshooting of RVCT modules to verify connectivity and functionality
Provide over-the-shoulder assistance to Soldiers as required, and support exercise control functions such as roleplay, and intelligence reporting
Facilitate the After-Action Review (AAR) process and deliver a comprehensive take-home package capturing key lessons learned from the training event
Oversee the preparation of equipment for shipment
Verify transportation to the Point of Need location
Oversee the setting up of equipment and RVCT modules. Initialize and troubleshooting systems to ensure full functionality
Deliver over-the-shoulder training support to Soldiers during the exercise and provide direct exercise support as required
Provide an After-Action Review (AAR) and comprehensive take-home package
Upon termination, oversee preparation of equipment for return shipment
Re-establish equipment at the original location to ensure readiness for future use
Provide additional personnel by shifting resources from other locations to meet training requirements that exceed the current site’s personnel capacity
Support may scale up to 28 RVCT modules or two companies. Surge support will be temporary to support the training exercise at that site
Qualification
Required
Privileged access to the system as part of the Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF)
Necessary skills, expertise and certifications to implement and maintain effective cybersecurity controls
In-depth understanding of Cyber concepts and processes
Proficiency in system administration, patching, and implementation of security procedures
Ability to analyze system vulnerabilities
Experience in maintaining network and computer Information Assurance systems security
Experience in system monitoring and verifying the integrity and availability of system, network, and server resources
Experience in collecting utilization, operation and maintenance data
Ability to review and interpret Windows event files
Experience managing Virtual Machines on Linux and Windows Hosts
Ability to ensure TADSS connectivity to central computer network
Experience providing SA maintenance support during deployed/PON operations
Experience facilitating and assisting OEM with installation and upgrade of software
Experience assisting Soldiers in planning training exercises within the TMT software
Ability to initialize and manage the local RVCT training network
Experience providing over-the-shoulder assistance to Soldiers
Experience facilitating the After-Action Review (AAR) process
Experience overseeing the preparation of equipment for shipment
Experience verifying transportation to the Point of Need location
Experience overseeing the setting up of equipment and RVCT modules
Experience delivering over-the-shoulder training support to Soldiers

Degree(s)/Years Of Experience: (2 +BA/BS or 1+MA/MS) or (4 +AA) or (6+No Degree)
DoD 8570 IAT II / 8140 Certification
Clearance: Secret
Preferred
Proficiency in MS Windows 11 operating system
Familiar with Linux operating system
Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs
Familiar with system hardware components
