Start in 2026 SummerTesla is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join their dynamic Information Security team. The role involves architecting and maintaining secure ETL pipelines, developing REST APIs, and working in a DevOps-driven environment.

Responsibilities
Architect and maintain secure, scalable ETL pipelines to process high-volume
Implement efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes using Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, or equivalent frameworks
Implement robust failure recovery mechanisms and alerting for pipeline reliability
Optimize Spark jobs for low latency and high throughput in processing data
Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable REST APIs using Python frameworks (e.g., Flask, Fast API) or Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot)
Work in a DevOps-driven environment, implementing CI/CD pipelines for ETL workflows and API deployments
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field of study with a graduation date between 2026-2027
Able to relocate and work onsite in Bellevue, WA
Proficient in at least two general programming languages such as Python and Java
Proven expertise in architecting data pipelines
Hands-on mastery of Apache Spark, Airflow, Apache Iceberg/ delta lake
Hands-on mastery in REST API development using technologies like Spring Boot or Fast API
Hands-on mastery in DevOps & CI/CD
Adaptable & collaborative mindset
Strong analytical problem-solving skills
