The Quality Director oversees and enhances the quality management processes across manufacturing operations in the United States, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement a regional quality strategy aligned with corporate objectives
Provide strategic direction to Plant quality teams to ensure the highest quality standards across manufacturing facilities
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and customer requirements
Collaborate with regulatory entities (internal and external) to stay abreast of changes and updates
Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance overall product quality and efficiency using structured methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing)
Lead and mentor a regional team of quality professionals
Support regional Operations and plant leadership in selecting and training Quality managers and other quality resources, providing “dotted-line” management to site-level quality managers
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
Collaborate with suppliers to enhance the quality of incoming materials
Work closely with customers to understand and address their quality expectations and ensure they are properly enforced at the plants
Utilize data analytics to monitor and analyze quality metrics
Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proven experience (8+ years) in a leadership role within quality management, preferably in the plastic manufacturing industry
Extensive experience in manufacturing and industrial environments
In-depth knowledge of quality management systems
Strong understanding of regional and international quality standards and regulations
Knowledge of Food Safety Certification
Ability to produce presentation and communication materials utilizing typical MS Office tools
Ability to travel within US as required
Preferred
Master's degree
Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies appreciated
