The successful candidate will be responsible for student recruitment, maintaining contact with prospective applicants, and representing the university positively at various events.

Responsibilities
Student recruitment to include large and small group presentations for college day and night programs, as well as other established high school visits
Establish and maintain contact with prospective applicants, parents, high school counselors and administrators
Daily, weekly, and monthly reports which evaluate individual accountability in student recruitment
Represent the University in a positive manner at all times
Perform all job functions to an optimal degree to create a caring, student-oriented campus
Work-related travel, to include extensive overnight and some out-of-state training and conferences
Schedule and administer campus tours throughout a working week, weekends and holidays to accommodate students and parents
Participation at all official NSU Events, especially those executed by the office including N-side View Day, Reception, Counselor Luncheons, Cheer Camps, Auditions, and others deemed by the Director of Recruiting
Visit high school counselors, give Northwestern presentations, and attend career/college night programs at high schools located in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi
Write, call, visit and follow up on all prospective students
General involvement in other admissions and recruiting duties as assigned by the Director
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required with experience working in public relations or related area
Working knowledge of and experience working in an educational environment
Demonstrated experience and active involvement in University activities, especially at the undergraduate level
Strong communication and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability in working with high school and college age students
