Senior Fund Accountant

They are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Fund Accountant to manage sophisticated investment portfolios, ensuring financial oversight, driving technology innovation, and leading annual audits while mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities
Review and approve monthly/quarterly NAV calculations for fund of funds and private equity investments, ensuring accuracy and proper accounting treatment
Maintain and enhance our internal reporting systems, leveraging AI tools and modern software solutions to optimize processes
Collaborate with administrators to track capital calls and distributions across our private equity portfolio
Lead annual portfolio audits by partnering with third-party administrators and independent auditor to deliver financial statements and respond to audit related requests
Coordination with reporting and investment team concerning monthly portfolio performance reporting and update of internal reporting system
Manage quarterly and annual valuation process for private direct investments including coordination with investment team, internal valuation committee, and third-party valuation agent
Providing mentoring and training to more junior members of the Operations, Finance and Accounting Team
Qualification
Required
Experience with private equity and private credit fund valuation methodologies
Proven experience with investment portfolio accounting, including trial balance and general ledger management
Understanding of US GAAP for investment funds/portfolios
Hands-on experience managing capital call and distribution processes
Proficiency with portfolio accounting software (Solovis experience highly valued)
Exceptional collaborative spirit with a growth mindset and positive attitude
Outstanding communication skills and ability to build relationships across all organizational levels
Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent judgment
Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting
3-5 Years of relevant work experience at an asset manager, administrator, or public accounting firm
Preferred
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills with AI implementation experience preferred
Background in PE/Credit accounting, investor allocations, and waterfall calculations strongly preferred
Professional certification: CPA is preferred
