IT Data Management Supervisor - Career Executive
The State of Wisconsin is seeking an IT Data Management Supervisor to join the Enterprise Data Services team at WisDOT. This role involves supervising IT staff, managing database administration, data modeling, and architecture, and ensuring the integrity and performance of enterprise databases.

Responsibilities
Supervises professional IT staff and project leaders who provide technology administration, operational support, incident resolution, and consulting services for all the WisDOT database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2) and support for the data models
Ensures the robust and secure management, administration, monitoring, and tuning of WisDOT enterprise databases to increase performance and decrease costs
Provides consulting and physical data modeling services for the enterprise data in support of the department’s applications
Responsible for the analysis, selection, installation, maintenance, and replacement of data modeling software
Provides administrative support for the WisDOT business area Data Stewards
Assesses portfolio candidate projects and provides workload and resource estimates required to complete them
Responsible for development, promotion, implementation, and periodic review of policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines that maintain the integrity of databases, data, data architecture, and production support
Represents and advises the Department and other state agencies on strategies for the development and utilization of data facilities and architectural strategy within the corporate technology environment to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of data resources
Qualification
Required
Working as technical lead in one of the following areas: database administration, data modeling, or data architecture
Managing enterprise database related projects and/or operations
Working with IT customers to understand business requirements
Preferred
Formal IT supervisory experience
Developing enterprise data management related policies, procedures and/or standards
Developing and implementing strategy for a data governance program
