Software Development Manager

The Software Development Manager will lead a small team of developers, collaborating with project managers and department heads to create solutions and guide design decisions.

Responsibilities

Assist developers on the team with projects: defining problems, deciding on a solution, organizing a roadmap, coding, and testing (approximately 50%)
Help steer the direction of the SDLC and architecture with dev management team (approximately 15%)
Design and code own solutions (approximately 15%)
Complete regular scheduled check-ins with developers to make sure they are happy and productive developers (approximately 10%)
Handle escalated issues (approximately 10%)

Required

Degree in Information Technology or related field
2 or more years' employee management experience
5 or more years' experience building business applications
Proficient in C#
Experience working on more than one development team building internal business applications
Strong communication skills
Ability to remain organized

Preferred

8 or more years' experience leading a small team
Experience with more than one kind of business application architecture
Familiar with the Anthropic ecosystem and Claude Code
Experience with reporting and Power BI
