The Perioperative Services Care Technician will assist the operating room staff with technical aspects of patient care, ensure the availability of supplies and equipment, and maintain cleanliness in surgical suites.

Responsibilities

To assist the operating room staff including the anesthesia providers with certain technical aspects of patient care
To ensure availability of supplies and equipment
To clean and disinfect surgical suites and/or reusable equipment including ancillary anesthesia equipment
To transport patients, lift and position patients, and to transport lab work and specimens
To successfully complete the designated portions of the orientation/training programs

Qualification

Basic Cardiac Life SupportPatient transportSurgical suite cleaningPatient positioningTeam collaboration

Required

High School diploma or GED required
Certified with Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 30 days of hire
