Responsibilities
Utilizes analytical skills, test plans, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements. Reviews documentation with systems analysts, developers, and/or vendors. Creates a first events validation plan including production validation, backout mitigation plan, and post-install support. (20%)
Demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy, and technical knowledge. Executes test scripts and reports defects using JIRA. Utilizes database knowledge and SQL queries to identify test accounts and verify application behavior. (20%)
Uses problem-solving and communication skills to work with development teams and/or vendors to resolve and retest defects. Reports testing progress to the testing lead or project manager. (20%)
Executes first events validation and provides knowledge transfer documentation to production support. Updates project reporting documentation, attends team meetings, and provides metrics on test execution and defects. (15%)
Demonstrates foundational knowledge of credit card operations, banking, financial services, loyalty rewards, and regulatory requirements. Drives testing efforts and collaborates with stakeholders to understand testing needs and report results. (15%)
Acts as liaison to developers, vendors, and business teams to ensure project requirements are satisfied. (10%)
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
8+ years of Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domain functional testing experience
Manual test execution (front-end, UI)
Cypress, Jira, qTest, basic QMF/SUL
Strong verbal and written communication
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical degree

10+ years of Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domain functional testing experience
