Rail Operations Analyst

LHH is seeking a Rail Operations Analyst to support a leading Oil & Gas organization. The role involves monitoring and troubleshooting SAP interfaces, analyzing data to support business decisions, and leading projects to improve business processes.

Responsibilities

Monitor and troubleshoot SAP interfaces connected to Rail applications
Serve as the in-house expert for Truck & Rail application systems
Analyze data using reporting and analytics tools to support better business decisions
Lead or assist in cross‑functional projects that improve business processes
Own business process development, optimization, and sustainability for Commercial stakeholders

Qualification

Rail operations experienceSAP S/4Analytical skillsBusiness process optimizationVendor Billing DocumentsMicrosoft application skillsCollaboration skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

5+ years of experience in oil & gas logistics or transportation, with specific rail operations knowledge
3+ years of SAP S/4 experience (S/4 + R/3 experience strongly preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related analytical discipline
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
Strong collaboration skills, personal drive, and ability to take ownership
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

Experience with Vendor Billing Documents, nominations, shipment cost docs, ticketing, and SAP IDocs
Strong Microsoft application skills and the ability to build trust and influence outcomes
