Responsibilities
Perform import and export activities in accordance with government regulations, organizational policies, and operational objectives with minimal supervision
Expedite the import/export process by coordinating with regional teams, warehousing, distribution, and production planning departments
Manage logistics for international shipments using ocean, air, land, and rail transportation modes
Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation managers, and various internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
Verify accuracy and compliance of all import/export documentation for both U.S. and foreign customer requirements
Maintain audit-ready documentation and participate in internal and external audits conducted by agencies such as USCBP and EPA
Process orders for assigned countries and product portfolios with accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance
Develop, maintain, and deliver training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assigned areas
Serve as the primary point of contact for international partners and customers
Conduct import/export process training as needed
Handle complex global trade accounts and trade lanes while acting as a Subject Matter Expert for assigned business units
Support continuous improvement initiatives by collaborating cross-functionally across divisions and international teams
Complete additional duties and project assignments as required
Qualification
Required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English
Working knowledge of import/export regulations including APHIS, CBP, USDA, and other regulatory bodies
Strong project management and deadline-driven execution skills
Analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and trade compliance systems such as ACE, SAP, GTS, Amber Road, and OneSource
Understanding of product portfolios, production processes, and international shipping logistics
Ability to stay up-to-date with changes in global trade regulations
Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when required
Preferred
BA/BS degree preferred
3+ years of experience in Business, Supply Chain, International Commerce, or related fields preferred
Prior experience with agricultural and/or chemical products is strongly preferred
