Responsibilities
Support GIS, Work Management, and Mobile Data applications used across electric and gas utility operations
Install, configure, test, and deploy applications in Windows, Linux, and Citrix environments
Apply software patches and updates to maintain stability and compliance
Provide end-user support across field operations and business units
Assist in designing and developing enterprise applications and enhancements
Create functional and technical documentation based on business requirements
Promote code/configuration changes across environments following established processes
Analyze and resolve application and system issues
Collaborate with infrastructure teams on server builds, OS patching, performance tuning, and system health monitoring
Work with database administrators on backups, schema updates, patches, and refreshes
Partner with business users and functional teams to understand needs and complete assigned work
Integrate GIS and related operational systems with other enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, OMS)
Assist team members with operational activities and support process improvement initiatives
Participate in on-call rotation to support 24/7 operations
Perform after-hours support as needed for production deployments or system changes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; Equivalent experience accepted
Experience supporting or developing enterprise applications
Hands-on experience with software installation, configuration, patching, and administration in Windows and/or UNIX environments
Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning capabilities
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
Experience developing mobile or web applications
Experience working with GIS platforms (ESRI or similar) or utility-specific GIS/field systems
Experience supporting Work Management or Field Mobility solutions in a utility environment
Integration experience with ERP platforms
Familiarity with Citrix, scripting (Windows/UNIX), Python, Oracle PL/SQL, geospatial databases, or utility network technologies
