The Network Architect will be responsible for the architecture, performance, reliability, and security of all infrastructure components, ensuring alignment with customer objectives and compliance with technical standards.

Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end oversight for all WAN, LAN, MAN, firewall, and transport network components
Serve as senior technical advisor to the customer for all network engineering and network architect matters
Lead design and implementation of redundant and high-availability architectures
Oversee deployment of network solutions to ensure they are executed in full compliance with project requirements, technical specifications and quality standards, while meeting established timelines
Lead engineering teams during troubleshooting of complex routing, switching, and transport-related issues
Supervise network engineering teams, providing technical guidance, training, peer reviews and performance oversight
Approve major configuration changes, design packages, and engineering recommendations
Oversee capacity planning, performance analysis, and lifecycle management. Including monitoring network infrastructure utilization trends and plan enhancements to meet future demand
Ensure network resilience, redundancy, and failover designs meet customer requirements
Coordinate with vendors for escalated support cases, software upgrades, and hardware remediation
Maintain mastery-level understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, EVPN), security standards, and fiber transport systems
Ensure network documentation is accurate, complete, and continuously updated
Support major incidents as Tier 3 escalation authority, including after-hours emergencies
Support lifecycle planning and modernization initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
10+ years of experience designing and managing enterprise network environments
At least 5 years of experience supporting networks with at least 1,000 network devices
At least 5 years of experience supporting multi-site network environments
Advanced expertise in routing, switching, and large-scale network architectures
Must have experience with large backbone networks and fiber infrastructures
Must hold a current senior-level network engineering certificate such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE), or an equivalent advanced networking certification (CCNP, etc)
Strong experience producing and reviewing detailed network diagrams and architecture documentation
Experience supporting mission-critical or high-availability environments
Proven experience in design, implementation and troubleshooting of complex network architectures
