Responsibilities
Serves as the primary triage engineer for complex EV system issues on CE1
Performs rapid diagnostics, root-cause analysis, data gathering, and cross-functional coordination to ensure safe, reliable vehicle performance
Builds and maintains triage knowledge bases to scale across EV platforms
Act as first-line triage for EV issues across E/E architecture, HV propulsion, software/firmware, thermal, safety, and related domains
Verify reproducibility, assess field/lab data for safety impact, and bound issue scope
Collect and analyze logs (CAN, Ethernet, serial), DTCs, BMS history, thermal trends, charging data, OTA history, and variant details
Define controlled reproduction steps and document assumptions/limitations
Recommend non-invasive checks; Specify required traces, bench tests, and diagnostics by likelihood/risk
Use structured RCA methods (fault trees, 5 Whys, 8D) to identify root causes and latent failure modes
Coordinate with hardware, software, propulsion, thermal, safety, and cybersecurity teams; Drive effective handoffs and decision records
Produce triage briefs, RCA summaries, and knowledge-base entries; maintain symptom-pattern libraries
Apply risk scoring (likelihood/impact) to guide escalation and management visibility
