Responsibilities
Work alongside a cross-disciplinary engineering team to develop and enhance advanced battery management features
Support the design and refinement of battery control strategies used in large-scale automotive and energy products
Analyze laboratory and fleet data to validate battery performance, reliability, and safety in real-world conditions
Develop and optimize battery algorithms that improve system efficiency, durability, and user experience
Partner with teams across controls, battery cells, embedded software, systems engineering, and vehicle integration to define requirements and execute testing activities
Assist the Battery Software organization with additional technical projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Familiarity with lithium-ion battery chemistries such as LFP and NMC
Understanding of battery management systems, control strategies, and EV powertrain fundamentals
Experience or academic exposure to battery modeling and electrochemical concepts
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++
Knowledge of vehicle subsystems including motors, onboard charging, and thermal management
Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
Proof of current or upcoming enrollment in a graduate program (MS or PhD)
