Electronics Engineer
Air Force Civilian Service is seeking a Full-Time Electronics Engineer to work at Air Force Materiel Command in El Paso County, CO. The role involves serving as a professional electronics engineer with project management and operational responsibilities, providing technical leadership and management to ensure project success in electronics engineering assignments.

Responsibilities
Serve as a professional electronics engineer with project management, execution, and operational responsibility in assigned area(s)
Provide technical leadership and management to ensure project/program success
Guide and evaluate the design and development activities of others
Provide engineering sustainment for MILSATCOM Protected Software Sustainment Projects
Provide program office support including requirements management and testing for the Global Positioning System and Command and Control System-Consolidated SMC workloads
Perform workload transition tasks for future 517th software space systems sustainment

Obtain & maintain Security clearance
This may be a designated Drug Testing Position
A professional engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution in Electronics Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline is highly desired
Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services
Knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment
Knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices
Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines
Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes
