They are seeking a licensed Civil/Geotechnical Professional Engineer (PE) with hands-on pile inspection experience to oversee deep foundation installations, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards through on-site observation and reporting.

Responsibilities
Monitor installation of deep foundation systems, including driven piles, drilled shafts (caissons), and helical piles
Observe and document pile installation data such as depth, blow counts, torque values, and concrete or grout quantities
Verify subsurface conditions by reviewing soil and rock cuttings to confirm consistency with geotechnical reports
Ensure materials, installation methods, and workmanship align with approved design drawings and local building codes
Perform or oversee quality control testing, including Static Load Tests, Pile Integrity Testing (PIT), and High-Strain Dynamic Testing (PDA)
Prepare clear, accurate daily field reports documenting progress, obstructions, and any deviations from approved plans
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Active New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license
Strong field documentation, communication, and compliance verification skills
Preferred
ICC Special Inspector (Deep Foundations) and/or NICET Geotechnical certification
