Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors immediately upon arrival with a friendly demeanor
Answer the phone promptly with a smile
Schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time and most effective use of exam and treatment rooms
Prepare a daily schedule for each provider
Prepare patient charts
Manage patient flow to reduce patient wait time
Assist patients as necessary
Maintain reception area in a neat and orderly condition
Maintain professional relationship with referring offices
Maintain confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
One year of customer service experience required
One year of healthcare experience is required
Understanding of dental terminology
Friendly, inviting, and professional personality and presence
Basic office skills such as typing and filing
Good organizational skills
Attention to detail
Preferred
Previous oral surgery or dental experience is highly preferred
