Responsibilities

Working with other engineers, surveyors, and technicians to complete engineering studies and designs, drawings, layouts, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided drafting software
Conducting field investigations and inspections
Focusing on civil engineering design of transportation, municipal, and private development type projects

Qualification

Required

BS degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 4 years of related design/engineering and/or project management experience
Knowledge of DOT and/or typical municipal standards
Competence with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
Proven technical knowledge to complete technical analysis and engineering designs
Self-motivated
Organized
Able to communicate effectively both written and orally
Able to work in a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred

A South Dakota Professional Engineer license
