Responsibilities
Develop test plans, procedures, and automated test solutions for satellite communication equipment including SSPAs, multi-band transceivers, and BUCs across C, X, Ku, and Ka bands
Translate system, hardware, and software requirements into robust verification test procedures
Create, interpret, and modify automated test software in Python (primary), as well as C++ and LabVIEW
Support Integration & Test, Design Verification, First Article, and Production test activities
Troubleshoot moderate to complex RF satellite communication equipment and firmware issues
Develop and automate RF calibration routines and RF test methods (e.g., frequency response, gain flatness, P1dB, TOI, harmonics/spurs, NF, phase noise, EVM)
Prepare technical reports, charts, graphs, and schematics documenting performance, deviations, and limitations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
10+ years' experience with RF test equipment and software, including spectrum/network analyzers, oscilloscopes, phase noise analyzers, signal source analyzers, and signal generators
5+ years' experience programming in Python (preferred as primary automation language)
Preferred
Knowledge of modern satellite communications and RF engineering
Experience automating test equipment over GPIB, Ethernet, RS-232, and SNMP
Experience with RF calibration automation
