Responsibilities
Create and manage purchase orders for flooring materials, trims, and accessories
Coordinate with sales, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate product ordering
Track order statuses, lead times, backorders, and deliveries
Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, freight, and order discrepancies
Verify order confirmations, invoices, and packing slips for accuracy
Resolve purchasing issues such as shortages, damages, or incorrect shipments
Maintain organized purchasing records and update inventory systems
Assist with forecasting material needs based on sales trends and upcoming projects
Support cost control efforts by monitoring pricing and freight charges
Ensure materials arrive in alignment with installation schedules
Qualification
Required
2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience (flooring or construction industry preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders simultaneously
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency with purchasing software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
Preferred
