Responsibilities

Lead maintenance department activities and ensure machinery and equipment are repaired and maintained on a timely basis
Direct, coordinate, and assist in performance of maintenance supervisor, and maintenance technicians' activities
Monitor operations of flex rolling mills, blanking presses, slitter machines, electro-galvanizing machinery, annealing processes, and weld cells used in the production of tailor rolled steel automotive components to ensure maximum equipment availability
Lead continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality and productivity
Track key performance indicators, including mean time to repair (MTTR), mean time between failures (MTBF), technical availability, and preventative maintenance completion and implement actions to improve KPIs
Evaluate facility equipment, including compressors, cooling towers, pump rooms, and cranes to determine if service or repairs are required
Validate work instructions to meet production schedules according to production capacity
Prepare annual and project budgets that include materials, spare parts, labor, and facility maintenance costs
Oversee purchasing of materials and supplies used in the production of tailor rolled steel automotive components, including tools, equipment, and replacement parts
Manage procedural changes to improve efficiency and minimize operating costs
Examine maintenance area, tools, and equipment to detect unsafe conditions or violations of safety rules
Oversee the inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
Communicate with employees concerning performance expectations, productivity, and accountability, and conduct annual performance reviews

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering
Two (2) years of experience in engineering position or related
Experience must include: Developing and implementing continuous improvement activities to enhance assembly line safety, quality, and productivity
Designing, developing, and launching production processes for flex rolling mills, blanking presses, slitter machines, electro-galvanizing machinery, and weld cells
Analyzing and troubleshooting machine breakdowns within flex rolling mills, blanking presses, slitter machines, electro-galvanizing machinery, and weld cells to identify root cause
Reviewing electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic schematics
Training maintenance technicians on identifying problems and conducting regular preventative maintenance
