Responsibilities
Analyze and account for certain operating expense accruals
Prepares the monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Reviews account reconciliations prepared by the staff to ensure they are prepared correctly and in accordance with accounting policies
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with corporate accounting policies
Responsible for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving accounting issues and discrepancies
Assists in supporting internal and external audit requests
Establishes and maintains effective communication and coordination with others including peers across finance, business stakeholders, and management
Performs other relevant job duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting required
4+yrs of accounting-related experience
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to partner with a multitude of key stakeholders
Solid understanding of US GAAP and the ability to apply accounting guidance to transactions
Proficiency with advanced Excel functions
High level of attention to details
Able to identify process inefficiencies and implement effective solutions
Ability to work with limited supervision
Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
Preferred
Wholesale distribution or retail experience preferred
