Responsibilities

Working with the Material Coordinator to get appropriate materials to the saw for cutting
Stage and maintain a work flow of slab materials that need to be cut
Working with Material Coordinator to index remnant materials in inventory management system
Learn functionality of a Northwood Raptor dual table saw/jet from basic layout, machine loading, running programs and learning to program the machine as abilities grow
Assist Production Manager in various tasks in stone production environment
Assists the rest of the shop team in terms of shop cleanliness and maintenance
Assists other shop members with moving tops and basic shop work flow
Maintaining a safe and clean work area

Required

High School diploma/GED required
Prior Stone Experience
Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 100 lbs
Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day
Ability to bend, twist, and stoop
Attention to detail
Teamwork mentality
Mechanical Aptitude
Punctual and dependable
Strong positive work ethic
Desire to “do things right the first time”
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabricate from digital templates and CAD drawings
Ability to read a tape measure and understand dimensions
Knowledge of mathematics including fractions and decimals
Ability to effectively work and communicate with fellow employee owners
Ability to or willingness to learn to operate tools listed above and obtain new skills
Knowledge of structural design integrity
Self-starter

Preferred

Prior fabrication or construction experience desired
