Senior Flight Operations and Aviation Life Support Generalist
The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Flight Operations and Aviation Life Support Generalist to support their Vertical Lift programs in Ridley Park, PA. This role involves providing hands-on and programmatic support for flight operations and aviation life support systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and training junior technicians and aircrew.

Responsibilities
Support planning and execution of flight operations for vertical lift aircraft including radio room flight following, aircrew scheduling, and aircrew currency/qualification reporting
Administer and maintain aviation life support systems: egress systems, restraints, crashworthy seats, helmets, oxygen systems, survival kits, and flotation devices
Perform inspection, configuration, packing, maintenance coordination, and documentation of ALSS equipment to applicable airworthiness and technical order standards
Interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality, customer, and flight test organizations to resolve ALSS and flight operations issues
Recommend and implement corrective actions for safety, non-conformances, and reliability issues; participate in root cause analyses and lessons learned
Support logistics and inventory management for ALSS spares, inspection cycles, and serviceable/non-serviceable disposition
Train and mentor junior life support technicians, aircrew, and ground staff on ALSS usage, don/doff procedures, emergency procedures, and safety protocols
Ensure compliance with FAA, DoD, and company regulations, airworthiness requirements, and safety management system processes
Qualification
Required
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in flight operations, aviation life support, aircrew equipment, or airborne operations (experience in vertical lift/rotorcraft preferred)
ALSE/ALSS/AFE certification from a military service branch, FAA, or commercial equivalent
Demonstrated hands-on experience with inspection, maintenance, packing, and troubleshooting of ALSS equipment (egress systems, harnesses, parachutes, helmets, oxygen systems, survival equipment)
Strong technical writing skills; experience producing technical procedures, checklists, and reports
Clear understanding of airworthiness processes, maintenance documentation, and Technical Orders/maintenance manuals
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, production, quality, and customer teams
Ability to travel and participate in flight operations and test events; may require overnight travel and occasional extended deployments
Preferred
Active or prior experience in vertical lift/rotorcraft programs (e.g., Sikorsky/Boeing rotorcraft, tiltrotor, or similar)
Parachute Rigger qualification from military service, FAA, or commercial equivalent
Experience with oxygen and ventilation systems, crashworthy seat systems, and human factors considerations
Familiarity with DoD/Service ALSS standards, MIL-SPEC requirements, and NATO/STANAG processes
Experience with configuration management, SAP/ERP systems, and maintenance tracking systems
FCC Commercial Radio Operator's Certificate
