Responsibilities

Propose concepts to solve customer problems
Create the system along with our customers by bringing to bear technology assets across Viasat Government and our partners
Develop the algorithms necessary to solve a wide range of DSP challenges
Build system solutions from your algorithms by transitioning them from simulations to instantiations on DSP/FPGA/GPU platforms
Research, then design, the DSP algorithms required to solve customer challenges starting with floating-point simulation (Matlab)
Build a digital logic model that proves how logic blocks can process equivalent math within the constraints of the platform (when applicable) given the evidence provided from floating-point simulation (Simulink)
Generate test vectors that must be matched by team members in the Digital group from the fixed-point modeling
Support the Digital team’s implementation and ultimately lead the performance of the DSP algorithm as it is applied to the specific platform
