Responsibilities
Designs and develops software solutions that automate data integration and workflows between business systems
Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains software
Participates in code reviews and contributes to improving software quality, standards, and best practices
Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders e.g. Marketing and Business Services to understand and implement their requirements in the design of software tools
Participates in and supports ERP implementations
Collaborates with the Engineering team to schedule, plan, and implement software projects within deadlines
Designs software systems and architectures with consideration for scalability, security, observability, and long-term maintainability
Assists with project scoping for HIWIN’s digital transformation and digital infrastructure initiatives
Creates developer guides, flowcharts, diagrams, and requirement documentation using tools such as Confluence and draw.io
Applies computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the software development process
Performs software systems testing including unit testing, integration testing, and load testing
Debugs and fixes problems found during testing activities
Supports secrets management using tools such as Keeper and Github
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's of Engineering in Computer Science, or other engineering discipline with a strong software concentration required
At least 2 years of experience in the following:
Experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) phases in the design and deployment of major software development projects
Hands-on experience in creating microservice architectures and web applications using technologies like Python (Fast API), Java (Spring boot), JavaScript, and SSO (EntraID)
Experience in Object-oriented programming, REST (HTTP/HTTPS request and response mechanism), loose coupling of client and server, and Web Services
Experience in software development methods, including DevOps workflow, code history versioning using Github, CI/CD (Continuous integration/Continuous deployment), implementing automated testing platforms, and load testing the services with applications like Postman for scalability
Experience in SQL databases including keys, Stored Procedures, views, joins and unions
Familiarity with asynchronous programming, authorization, and authentication mechanisms
Experience with Docker for container deployment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Technically proficient in translating customer and cross-departmental requirements into well-designed software solutions
Skilled in analyzing system behavior to identify root causes of processing issues, and implement effective corrective actions, with experience in incident detection, and troubleshooting in production environments
