Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage permit applications for BESS construction projects across multiple jurisdictions
Build and maintain relationships with local regulatory authorities to facilitate permitting
Track and report permit status, ensuring timely submission of all required documentation
Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams
Interpret and apply local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements
Prepare and review permit applications and supporting documentation
Identify potential permitting issues early and develop mitigation strategies
Maintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, and related communications
Attend pre-application meetings with regulatory agencies as needed
Keep project teams informed of permitting timelines and requirements
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of corporate experience, preferably in permitting, regulatory compliance, or related fields
Strong understanding of building codes and permitting processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements
Preferred
Experience with construction projects in renewable energy, electrical utilities, or major infrastructure
