They are seeking an Administrative Professional 1 to provide routine administrative support, assist in developing new procedures, and manage communications related to the Food Safety program.

Responsibilities
Receive, research as needed, & respond via telephone, mail or email correspondence to information requests about the Food Safety program to federal, state & local agency staff & the general public
Retrieve voice mail messages from the Food Safety telephone line & respond or direct calls to appropriate staff
Receive, process & review Food Safety certification applications for completeness & communicates with applicants to obtain required documents as needed
File, track & maintain program documents, spreadsheets & databases (e.g., project, certification &/or registration applications, local health district fee transmittal reports, or local health department surveys)
Gather data &/or statistics & compile information into reports to clearly present accurate information
Enter requests from local health departments for forms, pamphlets, & posters into the ODH warehouse Integrated Resource Management System & request materials be sent
Manage logistics for meetings, conferences, & workshops (e.g., schedules ODH conference rooms, arranges the use of facilities on State Schedule)
Gather, sort & assemble documents for mailings
Qualification
Required
1 yr. trg. or 1 yr. exp. in secretarial science or business office applications
For positions requiring technical terminology, applicants must also have 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in relevant technical terminology
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
