Responsibilities

Leads and coordinates detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timeline, budget, and resource requirements
Identifies and coordinates the allocation of necessary resources (personnel, equipment, and materials) and workload distribution
Prepares and monitors project budgets, ensuring that expenditures stay within approved limits
Identifies potential project risks and develops mitigation strategies
Establishes and maintains effective communication channels with the PMO and other stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues
Tracks project performance using appropriate metrics and project management tools
Ensures project activities comply with regulatory and compliance requirements
Implements quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations
Maintains comprehensive up-to-date project documentation, including plans, reports, meeting minutes, and is accessible to relevant stakeholders
Adapts project plans promptly to accommodate approved changes and resolve project issues
Fosters a collaborative and productive team environment to project team members
Conducts post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement to establish best practices for future projects
Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects
Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a related field
5+ years of experience in project management
Understanding of quality assurance principles and quality control processes related to project deliverables
Ability to effectively allocate, manage, and optimize project resources including personnel, time, materials, and budget
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying information, leading meetings, and building strong client relationships
In-depth expertise in Agile methodologies, including Agile principles, frameworks, and delivery practices
Understanding of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling phases
Understanding of change management principles and strategies to handle project changes effectively
Familiarity with project management tools and software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or other PMO-specific systems
Well-rounded knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems, database fundamentals and computer software
Ability to lead project teams, foster collaboration, and negotiate to resolve conflicts
Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate situations, gather information, and make informed decisions when confronted with changing project requirements and unexpected challenges
Knowledge of risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks, determine their potential impact, and develop risk response strategies
Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks, while working on multiple projects
Ability to actively listen and interpret business objectives to derive technical requirements
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship

Preferred

Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Project Manager (CPM) or other project management certification
Previous business analyst or business process management experience
