Responsibilities
Ensure room is set up for production
Verify lines are clean and sanitized
Verify labels for the day
Monitor and assure effective packaging equipment operation
Wrapping, Labeling, Form Packaging
Validate PMs on packaging equipment
Ensure all labels are correct
Spot audits to ensure Julian date, sell by date, label wording and placement, box end labels
Coordinate packaging label changes
Train packaging operators/technicians on proper equipment care and operation
Train packaging associates on proper line tasks
Audits
Operating product flow during change overs
Knowledge of product, labels and box count
Complete necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner
Keep the area clean
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Excellent working knowledge of packaging equipment
Proven leadership abilities
Mechanical background and ability to use hand tools
Computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Databases and E-mail
Trained in Maintenance of CMMS
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to rotate job functions
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role
Preferred
Experience in a food processing facility
