Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns
Manage tax fixed asset processes, including tax depreciation methods/lives, tax bonus depreciation, coordination with fixed asset accounting team, and JDE/SAP system maintenance
Prepare detailed workpapers to support federal and state income tax compliance, including book to tax adjustments, state apportionment, and quarterly estimates
Support the annual domestic income tax provision process through preparation of tax adjustments and deferred tax calculations
Monitor and analyze domestic tax law changes and quantify the impact on Simplot’s operations and cash flow
Research and prepare responses to tax notices
Assist with special tax projects, including ERP implementation, mergers and acquisitions
Qualification
Required
BA/BS in Accounting or Tax required
2-5 Years of public accounting or large corporate tax experience
Strong knowledge of federal and state corporate tax laws and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software applications
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented, with ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in problem resolution
Skilled in managing competing priorities with effective organizational abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships across various functional areas
Preferred
Master's degree
CPA
Specific industry knowledge
Experience with SAP/CFIN
Hands-on experience with OneSource Income Tax
