Responsibilities
Lead Discovery and Motion Practice: Develop and execute comprehensive case strategies, drafting compelling pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs for complex civil litigation and high-profile class action defense
Direct Client Counseling: Advise attorneys general, corporate general counsel, and agency policymakers on legal compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic procedural development
Trial & Hearing Advocacy: Take an important role in depositions, motion hearings, and trial preparation, demonstrating exceptional advocacy skills
Case Management: Oversee all phases of the litigation lifecycle, including managing junior associates and driving cases toward a positive and efficient resolution
Qualification
Required
5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in civil defense, commercial litigation, or government defense
Federal court experience is a strong plus!
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active membership and good standing with the Arizona Bar
Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are a must
Demonstrable experience with strategic motion practice and deposition preparation
A strong desire to collaborate with senior partners and a highly proactive, results-oriented approach to case management
