They are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations in a high-volume, multi-state environment, overseeing payroll for corporate and temporary field employees while managing a team of Payroll Specialists.

Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of Payroll Specialists
Manage high-volume weekly and bi-weekly multi-state payroll
Ensure compliance with federal and state wage & hour laws (CA expertise required)
Oversee W-2s, garnishments, payroll taxes, audits, and internal controls
Partner with HR and Finance on payroll, benefits, and reporting
Improve payroll systems, processes, and reporting accuracy
Qualification
Required
5+ years payroll experience
2+ years in a leadership role
Strong multi-state payroll and California compliance knowledge
CPP (or equivalent) certification required
Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly confidential
Preferred
Preferably in the Staffing industry
Experience with Avionté or similar payroll systems
