Responsibilities
Works under limited supervision in the administration, design, deployment, maintenance, security, monitoring, and support of the agency’s MDT and MECM/SCCM infrastructure
Ensures reliable software distribution, patching, reporting, and operating system deployment (OSD)
Analyzes agency software versioning for business needs and leads the implementation of software specifications to meet those needs
Configures application deployments for endpoint devices to meet technical requirements
Improves endpoint compliance, security posture, and operational efficiency based on technical needs
Monitors performance of the MECM/SCCM infrastructure, reviews event logs, analyzes issues, and performs routine security practices as needed
Provides operational support, documentation, and knowledge transfer
Updates MDT and MECM/SCCM environments with appropriate security controls
Participates in enterprise administration, planning, installation, maintenance, security, monitoring, and support of the agency’s endpoint computers, software deployments, and peripheral devices
Maximizes security controls using industry best practices
Supports and adheres to established change management processes
Maintains awareness of security compliance changes and processes
Identifies risks and communicates them to the CIO and IT team
Develops technical documentation in accordance with agency policies, CJIS security guidance, and state security standards
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in enterprise MECM/SCCM and MDT administration
5+ years of experience with Windows operating systems, including software deployment, image deployment, and system refreshes
Strong experience in multiple operating system image development and implementation
5+ years of experience with Software Update Points (SUP) and WSUS integrations, including SQL Server configurations
Experience with Active Directory, Entra AD (Azure AD), Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Intune (co-management), and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), including expertise in discovery methods (AD systems, users, groups, and Entra AD/AD DS hybrid environments)
Preferred
Expert in Windows infrastructure, including logging and event handling
Ability to demonstrate strong working knowledge of client settings, deployment strategies, and third-party software support
Expert in compliance settings, baselines, and client health monitoring
Expert in PowerShell scripting, including logon scripts and logon optimisation techniques
Expert in automated deployments of operating systems, drivers, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), task sequences, and related components
