Responsibilities
Provide support and troubleshooting for MMS applications and interfaces, including participation in 24/7 on-call rotation
Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of system enhancements and modifications
Perform application and model load testing, and coordinate setup and testing with relevant stakeholders (QSEs, LSEs, REs)
Maintain MMS applications during system failovers, server/database upgrades, patches, and infrastructure changes
Read, debug, and write scripts to support application changes and issue resolution
Assist in proactive enhancements, performance improvements, and issue remediation
Participate in disaster recovery drills to ensure business continuity
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and serve as a subject matter expert in meetings and projects
Qualification
Required
Must reside in Texas for flexible work policy
Strong understanding of electric power systems, grid operations, and market mechanics
Scripting/programming skills in Java, Python, Perl, or similar languages for application support and debugging
Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle, PL/SQL) and query development
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
Preferred
Experience with Hitachi ABB MMS or other market management software
Familiarity with data historian tools such as OSIsoft PI
Programming experience in Java, FORTRAN, C, or C++
Experience in regulated electricity markets or RTO/ISO environments
Understanding of market optimization, economic dispatch principles, and SCADA systems
Master's degree in a related field
