The engineer will be responsible for restoring administrative access, supporting switch configuration, validating connectivity, and assisting during a production cutover in collaboration with the customer’s IT team.

Responsibilities
Perform factory reset of existing Cisco Catalyst switches where administrative access is unavailable
Regain administrative control of network devices
Validate successful reset and confirm readiness for reconfiguration
Upload, apply, and/or modify customer-provided network configurations
Assist with configuration of a subset of switches as prioritized by the customer
Support configuration and validation of the following switch models:
Validate configuration awareness of the Cisco Catalyst 9500 switch supporting underground fiber connectivity between sites
No redesign, optimization, or activation of unused fiber links unless explicitly directed by the customer
Assist with setup and basic configuration of Ubiquiti wireless access points
Validate access point connectivity and basic operational status
Provide onsite firewall-related support and validation
Assist customer personnel with firewall connectivity checks and troubleshooting
Full firewall redesign or architecture changes are out of scope
Work collaboratively with the customer’s onsite IT contact
Provide real-time troubleshooting support during the production cutover window
Validate basic network connectivity following configuration changes
Qualification
Required
Senior-level experience with Cisco Catalyst switching environments
7–9 years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles
Hands-on experience with Cisco 9200, 9300, and 9500 series switches
Strong troubleshooting skills for Layer 2 and basic Layer 3 networking
Familiarity with Ubiquiti wireless access points
Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with customer IT teams
Clear documentation and reporting skills
