Mid-Level Litigator
MOVE Your Business is proud to represent Geraci LLP, a nationally recognized law firm dedicated to serving private lenders across the United States. They are seeking a Mid-Level Litigator to manage complex litigation matters, represent clients in court, and provide strategic legal counsel to private lenders.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee litigation cases involving private lenders from inception to resolution
Track case progress, deadlines, and court filings to ensure compliance with procedural requirements
Coordinate discovery processes, including document review and evidence management
Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies and provide practical legal advice
Prepare and review settlement agreements, risk assessments, and dispute resolutions
Keep clients informed of case developments and regulatory changes impacting their lending operations
Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents effectively
Engage with opposing counsel and negotiate settlements when appropriate
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies
Draft high-quality legal documents, including briefs, motions, and discovery responses
Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents in lending and commercial litigation
Work closely with senior attorneys to align on case strategy and client objectives
Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals, providing guidance on litigation best practices and case management
Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the firm
Provide assistance on special projects and cross-functional initiatives
Support senior leadership with research, documentation, and general legal tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited American law school
Bar Admission (required): Must be admitted to practice law in California
U.S. citizen or permanent resident
3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in financial, commercial, or lending law
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, rules of civil procedure, and evidence
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
Able to work independently while maintaining momentum and managing multiple priorities
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with professional maturity and a growth-oriented mindset
Two professional references and a valid criminal background check issued within the last 60 days are required for all successful applicants
Completion of intake paperwork, including submission of a valid tax identification number (e.g., Social Security Number, Social Insurance Number, or the country's equivalent), is required prior to onboarding
Preferred
Experience working with private lenders or in financial services litigation is a plus
