Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers and architects
Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines and infrastructure
Partner with business leaders, product managers, and data scientists to deliver data solutions that drive business impact
Oversee the development and maintenance of data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time streaming systems
Establish best practices for data governance, quality, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
Evaluate and implement modern data tools and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, dbt)
Drive innovation in data architecture to support personalization, predictive analytics, and AI/ML capabilities
Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective use of third-party data services
Qualification
Required
8-10+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Proven experience building and scaling cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Expertise in SQL, Python, Spark, and modern data stack tools
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and real-time data processing
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred
Experience supporting e-commerce, retail, or consumer brands is a plus
