Employee Relations Business Partner
Swoon is hiring for a Banking Client for a fully remote Employee Relations Business Partner role. This position provides expert consulting and governance support for employee relations, ensuring alignment with business strategy and regulatory requirements while partnering with various stakeholders to drive initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to assigned business groups on employee relations strategy, governance, and risk mitigation
Influence stakeholders and negotiate outcomes to support business objectives while maintaining compliance and equity
Identify emerging employee relations trends and risks to inform leadership decision-making
Provide expert guidance on:
Policy and operating procedure interpretation
Corrective action and misconduct investigations
Attendance management and leaves of absence
Performance management and underperformance
Workplace conflict and work environment concerns
Harassment, discrimination, accommodations, and adjudication
Lead or support high-risk employee relations matters including legal case management, investigations, workforce transformations, and regulatory inquiries
Review, negotiate, and authorize separation agreements within prescribed limits
Monitor legislative changes and manage regulatory compliance initiatives
Develop employee relations solutions aligned with business strategy and stakeholder needs
Educate managers on labor relations practices, policies, legislation, and proper procedures
Support severance and reduction-in-force initiatives including calculations, templates, outplacement estimates, and stakeholder inquiries
Perform intake assessments for employee relations cases to identify risks and determine resolution strategy
Design and deliver reporting, dashboards, and ad hoc analytics
Build change management plans including readiness assessments, stakeholder engagement, execution, and sustainment
Qualification
Required
Expert employee relations consulting and governance support experience
Ability to align employee relations policies, practices, and programs with business strategy
Experience in handling complex employee relations matters including acquisitions, divestitures, workforce transitions, separations, investigations, and outsourcing initiatives
High level of autonomy, judgment, and influence in decision-making
Ability to serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations strategy, governance, and risk mitigation
Experience influencing stakeholders and negotiating outcomes
Ability to identify emerging employee relations trends and risks
Expert guidance on policy and operating procedure interpretation
Experience with corrective action and misconduct investigations
Knowledge of attendance management and leaves of absence
Experience in performance management and underperformance
Ability to address workplace conflict and work environment concerns
Knowledge of harassment, discrimination, accommodations, and adjudication
Experience leading or supporting high-risk employee relations matters including legal case management and regulatory inquiries
Ability to review, negotiate, and authorize separation agreements
Experience monitoring legislative changes and managing regulatory compliance initiatives
Ability to develop employee relations solutions aligned with business strategy
Experience educating managers on labor relations practices, policies, legislation, and proper procedures
Experience supporting severance and reduction-in-force initiatives
Ability to perform intake assessments for employee relations cases
Experience designing and delivering reporting, dashboards, and ad hoc analytics
Ability to build change management plans including readiness assessments and stakeholder engagement
