Responsibilities
Design and implement security controls across GCP, including IAM, networking, compute, storage, and GKE
Configure and manage native GCP security services such as Organization Policies, Security Command Center, VPC Service Controls, and Cloud Logging
Secure cloud networks through segmentation, firewall rules, and private connectivity
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security guardrails using Terraform and policy-as-code
Translate compliance and risk requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA) into practical, enforceable cloud controls
Partner with GRC, audit, and engineering teams to support assessments, evidence collection, and remediation
Integrate cloud security telemetry with SIEM/SOAR platforms and support incident response
Drive automation and continuous improvement of cloud security posture and compliance monitoring
Qualification
Required
13+ years of experience in information security, including 5+ years in cloud security engineering
Strong hands-on experience securing enterprise GCP environments
Deep knowledge of GCP IAM, organization structure, networking, and security services
Experience implementing security controls using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
Solid understanding of cloud security principles such as least privilege, zero trust, and shared responsibility
Experience operationalizing GRC and compliance requirements in cloud environments
Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, or similar)
Preferred
GCP certifications (Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect)
Experience securing Kubernetes and containerized workloads (GKE preferred)
Familiarity with CSPM tools, policy-as-code, and cloud security automation
Background in regulated or audit-driven environments (SaaS, financial services, healthcare)
Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
