Responsibilities
Leads will help all technicians directly assigned to the Maintenance team, and work closely with the associates on the Logistics, Operations, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and the Sanitation teams
Assist mechanics to make repairs when needed – heavy lifting may be required
Coordination and communication with between Production Leaders, Reliability Leaders, Business Unit Managers and Maintenance Manager to determine the most efficient and timely corrective action in response to equipment breakdowns
Verify assigned work orders are completed and closed in a timely manner and work quality is acceptable
Track and assign corrective and preventive maintenance activities across all shifts while maintaining work orders
Assist in the development of improvement strategies including Break Down Analysis
Audit PMs to ensure proper completion
Champion the organizations values by leading best practices in maintenance by supporting Safety, Reliability, and Quality initiatives
Support PM/DMS activities within the department
Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly environment for all employees and visitors; keep work area clean always
Helps train new employees and incoming employees on proper procedures for maintaining machines effectively and efficiently
Ensures all Safety/GMP rules are followed
Communicates Standard Operating Procedures and plant rules to all Maintenance Team members and ensures that they are implemented and strictly adhered to
Utilizes technical expertise throughout the facility to fill in and or assist in for all Maintenance areas
Has ability to make the final Maintenance decisions in the absence of supervisors
Recommends solutions and identifies team opportunities

Qualification
Preferred
3+ years of experience as a Mechanic preferred
Functional knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and plumbing systems
Functional knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Demonstrated experience with NFPA70 Electrical Safety, LOTO principles, and practices
Demonstrated ability to utilize Maintenance Performance Measurements (KPIs)
Working knowledge of break down analysis/root cause analysis tools with preventive and predictive concepts, and lowest cost of ownership
Knowledge of plant, OSHA, local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematics, P&IDs, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports, SOP's, OPL's and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively in a technical manner before groups of customers or employees of organization at all levels, including janitorial, management, and executives
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar and line graphs
Position requires algebraic and geometric math skills and a thorough understanding of mechanical procedures as related to maintenance applications
Ability to understand both English and Metric (SI) units. Able to convert between Systems
Strong computer skills needed including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and email
Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical data in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables to arrive at a reasonable solution
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with and define problems, collect data, establish fact, and draw valid conclusions involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to work under pressure and with a sense of urgency
