Intern
Seneca Gaming Corporation is offering a paid internship for students to gain experience in their designated Non-Compact departments. Interns will assist with operational or administrative duties, shadow management, and work on specific projects while providing customer service and adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities
The Intern will be assigned relevant duties through their designated department that may include operational or administrative duties
Interns will shadow supervisors and/or shift managers on occasion in effort to acquire the skills and abilities of the management team
May be assigned specific projects and/or assignments by their designed supervisor and/or shift manager that will incorporate the objectives of the internship as it is defined by their Educational Institution with the positions job responsibilities
Interns will be required to report to their designated supervisor and/or shift manager on a daily basis to update him/her on assigned tasks and learning experience
Meet the attendance guidelines of the internship and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies
Provides the highest level of customer service to guests as all times
Respond to all guest inquiries in a professional, courteous and friendly manner
Work current promotional events as assigned
Ensure accurate up-to-date information concerning Casino information
Promote positive public relations
Assist in other projects, as directed
Maintain a current understanding of all policies and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times
Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed
Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
Must be a full-time student
Enrolled in a College or University in an undergraduate or graduate program
Prior experience and/or related coursework
Must have a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must have proficient computer skills
Must possess excellent communication skills
Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers
Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Adequate manual dexterity to operate office equipment
Light lifting
Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino/hotel
Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations
